Sophisticated architecture.

Ernsting´s family, Klienken logistics centre.

The company, Ernsting´s family, specialises in fashion for families. Steady growth made it necessary to expand the existing distribution centre in Klienken near Dessau.

This distribution centre is responsible for checking inventory and distribution to the shops supplied from East Germany.

The second building section is seamlessly connected to the existing part. The facades are fitted with flat and corrugated aluminium elements. The steel construction, facade cladding and assembly of the trapezoidal roof profiles for the atrium, a delivery station at the existing building, a connecting structure between two halls as well as the spiral and emergency staircases were constructed under Hammersen's instructions. The general wall construction on all the new buildings consists of a double-skin wall system. The outer shell is made of corrugated aluminium profiles with different profile thicknesses and sizes. A visual feature and architectural highlight at the same time are the different facade designs with pilaster strips. The cladding with corrugated profiles is a design feature on all the facades and creates a recurring, uniform appearance. The facade of the high-bay warehouse is completely interrupted by vertical, semicircular pilaster strips. They are fitted at an exactly defined distance and have different sizes and distances between each other.

All the work was completed on schedule and to the highest quality, so that the building was able to go into operation as planned.

Technical expertise, safe and highly efficient processes and a team that makes every project its own – that is how we at Hammersen ensure that everything is right from the facade to the roof.
